Every tumble witnesses a new turn of denim trends opposed for supremacy. Having lived by too many of them to count, I’m now fondness a lapse of higher-rise, straighter-leg versions, joined with this season’s “raw” (unfinished) hem, such as Los Angeles/London tag Frame’s Le High Straight Staggered Hem style. Available in disdainful Carroll rinse (pictured) and black. $249, Nordstrom.com.

With engineer Hedi Slimane withdrawal Saint Laurent now is THE TIME for fans to snap adult a final of his stone star-inspired collection. Among my favorite looks is Slimane’s take on a classical velvet Yves Le Smoking coupler ($2,790) shown here with a Bowie fedora ($795), www.ysl.com.

Some conform dictators announce that leopard (the print) is a neutral. It is so not so. To wear leopard is to snarl out that we are dangerous, seductive, adventuresome — anything but neutral. These Tabitha Simmons loafers competence give me that edge, and with their 2-inch heel, we can be dangerous, etc., all day. $745, Netaporter.com.
