Prices Are Higher during This Year’s Club Monaco Sample Sale
February 23, 2015 - fall Denim
Shoppers during the Club Monaco representation sale, that kicked off this morning, were treated to a rather upsetting surprise: Prices were considerably higher—in many cases, double the price—than they were final fall. A happier surprise, however? The sale is distant some-more orderly (and way reduction hectic) this time around.
What’s a understanding with a cost increase? Clothingline staff tells us it’s since there’s a lot some-more to select from this year, and really tiny of what’s on a building are tangible samples. In a front of a room, you’ll find newer styles, including stretch dresses ($99), trousers ($79), blouses ($59), denim ($59), and miniskirts ($69).
Walk towards a back, and you’ll start to commend pieces from past Club Monaco representation sales-there are jackets from leather ($199) to tweed ($99), a tiny preference of nap coats ($159), and during a really distant end, a vast wall of loyal samples that looked in apocalyptic need of possibly a steamer or a tailor (or both), many of that are simple tops ($39), sweaters, and cardigans ($69).
The shoes, bags, and accessories room is also reduction abundant than past sales—there were usually a few styles of boots ($129 to $199), mostly Loeffler Randalls, and a integrate Mayle by Club Monaco bags ($179) and one or dual other tiny bags ($59). Scarves, gloves and hats are $29.
Fair warning: there are no wise rooms, and perplexing on garments on a building is prohibited. Though we haven’t listened word of markdowns only yet, there’s tons of sell to collect through, and staff will be restocking each morning. When we left around noon today, a line wasn’t as prolonged as it has been in a past—perhaps 30 people or so were braving a cold—and similarly, we beheld distant fewer people creation purchases. Your best bet? Keeping comfortable until word of markdowns comes along.
