Weatherproof Vintage Brings a Beachside Vibe to Cozy Fall Layering
October 12, 2016 - fall Denim
Weatherproof Vintage adds cozy, infrequent layering to a beach-focused tumble wardrobe.
Weatherproof Vintage’s men’s Fall collection facilities some of a season’s best layering pieces, like a competition coupler ($1,750), denim shirt ($70), and denim rinse sweater ($135).
Fall conform in a Hamptons means gentle layered pieces underneath well-developed coats and jackets, and Weatherproof Vintage provides a far-reaching operation of options for achieving a quintessential demeanour of autumn on a East End— like a denim sherpa-lined coupler and sherpa-lined parka, as good as sweater fleece hoodies for men. The code also offers normal layering pieces, such as heavyweight flannels and corpulent sweaters, and a signature cleared loose denim.
A new reflection collection for women includes quilted jackets, cinched-waist parkas, and (debuting soon) fashion-forward capes. “We’re not too young—no ripped jeans or tie-dye—and not utterly as normal as some other brands,” says Ron Rheingold, a company’s president. “It’s all simply wearable.”
This season, classical autumnal colored denim creates an appearance, as does a brand’s particular cleared jeans, all in vintage-inspired fabrics. “Vintage is partial of a code DNA, as most of a collection was desirous by authentic denim and indigo-dyed pieces,” says Rheingold. “Each of a panoply has a special rinse that gives it a lived-in comfort a consumer cherishes.”
A former East Hampton proprietor who worked in stores here in his teens, Rheingold relates his personal pattern philosophy— “Elegance meets beach”—directly to a collections. “It’s craftsman meets Amagansett,” he says. “We’re a loyal Hamptons lifestyle brand—authentic and laid-back.” Macy’s, Roosevelt Field Mall, 630 Old Country Road, Garden City, 516-746-8200
